On 09th January 2026, students of BA (Hons) in Applied Archaeology at NIIBS Campus successfully completed an educational field visit to the Pothana Archaeological Site and the Ibbankatuwa Archaeological Site.
The primary objective of this field visit was to gain firsthand exposure to prehistoric and protohistoric sites in Sri Lanka, enhancing students’ practical understanding of early human settlements, burial practices, and material culture.
A meaningful step in nurturing future archaeologists through experiential learning.
